Our mission is to deliver unparalleled paddle-boarding experiences to our guests, making memories that last a lifetime. Compensation and Benefits:
Earn $50 per tour, with additional income from tips and bonus opportunities.
Details about bonus opportunities will be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Flexible availability includes weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
Experience in paddleboarding is a must, with proficiency in basic skills and safety.
Impeccable customer service skills and a naturally welcoming demeanor.
Ability to provide guidance to paddlers of all skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Reliable transportation is essential; a truck and/or vehicle with a trailer hitch is preferred.
Background in guiding tours, teaching, or tourism is advantageous.
The Role:
As a tour guide with Otter Paddle, you'll play a vital role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading small to medium-sized groups of beginner to advanced paddlers.
Prioritizing the safety and enjoyment of all guests throughout the tour.
Setting up and maintaining tour equipment in an organized and clean manner.
Conducting guest check-in procedures and ensuring all waivers are completed.
Providing thorough paddle and safety instructions before launching and offering tips and guidance during the tour.
Establishing genuine connections with guests fosters a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Comfortable capturing photos and videos of guests during the tour to enhance their experience.
Adapting to various outdoor weather conditions and paddling distances ensures guests' comfort and safety.
In addition to these core responsibilities, you'll serve as an ambassador for the natural wonders of our tour locations. You'll educate guests about the rich history, fascinating wildlife, and pristine nature surrounding them, instilling a deeper appreciation for the environments we explore. By sharing insights into the area's heritage and ecology, you'll transform each excursion into an immersive journey of discovery and connection with the natural world.
