Join us on the water and experience Winter Park from its most peaceful vantage point on a scenic, guided paddle board tour through the Winter Park Chain of Lakes.
This approximately 2-hour experience launches from Kraft Azalea Garden on Lake Maitland, a beloved waterfront park known for its towering cypress trees, calm waters, and scenic lake views. From here, you’ll paddle across open lakes and glide into the Venetian-inspired canals that make this area one of the most beautiful places to paddle in Central Florida.
Moving at a relaxed, unhurried pace, the tour allows time to fully take in historic waterfront homes, lush subtropical landscapes, and the natural beauty that defines Winter Park. Wildlife sightings may include herons, egrets, anhingas, turtles, and fish moving beneath the surface of the water.

Cancellation Policy
At Otter Paddle Orlando, we understand that plans may change, and we strive to accommodate our guests whenever possible. However, last-minute cancellations impact our operations and limit availability for others. To ensure fairness and efficient service, we have established the following policies.
Cancellations Made in Advance: Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled booking date are eligible for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs within 72 hours of the booking date, guests may choose to reschedule or receive a gift card. Unfortunately, cancellations made on the day of the booking, as well as late arrivals and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
Late Arrival Policy: We allow a 10-minute grace period for guests who may be delayed. After this grace period, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals, as it may disrupt the experience for other guests. Guests who cancel on the day of their tour, arrive after the 10-minute grace period, or do not show up but contact us on the day of their reservation may receive a gift card. However, a $75 rescheduling fee must be paid to obtain the gift card. Guests who contact us after the scheduled tour date will not be eligible for a refund, reschedule, or gift card.
Weather Policy: For the safety of our guests, Otter Paddle Orlando reserves the right to cancel tours in the event of unsafe weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances, or any other reason that may compromise guest safety. While we do operate in light rain, if a tour is canceled by Otter Paddle Orlando due to weather or safety concerns, guests will have the option to reschedule their tour or receive a gift card for future use. Please note that refunds will not be issued in these circumstances.
All policies are strictly enforced to ensure fairness and smooth operations. Gift cards issued by Otter Paddle Orlando do not expire, providing guests with the flexibility to reschedule at their convenience. This cancellation policy is subject to change. A completed waiver is required for each participant prior to check-in. Once the reservation has been made, you will receive a booking confirmation email with online waiver instructions + more.
Each participant must be a confident swimmer, comfortable in and around the water, must be fully mobile and in good physical condition to join this tour. Paddle boarding is a physical activity.
Minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Minors 4-12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian on the same paddle board.
Minors 13-17 years of age may paddle board on their own, with a parent/guardian next to the minor for the full duration of the tour.
Minors 3 years of age and under are not permitted.
Pets are not permitted.

Please note, we must have at least 2 guests attending a tour to operate. If you are the only guest on the tour, we will reach out to inform you. If no other guests book prior to 24 hours, we will have to cancel the tour and reschedule or provide a full refund.

A: Yes. All participants must be at least 4 years old to join our Winter Park paddle tours. Guests 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire experience.
For safety:
Ages 4–12 ride on the same paddleboard as a parent
Ages 13–17 may paddle their own board
If a child age 12 or younger has paddleboarding experience and the parent feels confident they can safely keep up with the group, they may paddle solo

A: Yes, our paddleboards are designed to comfortably accommodate one adult and one child (ages 4 to 12) on the same board. This is the recommended setup for most families with younger paddlers.
If your child has previous paddleboarding experience and you’re confident in their ability to keep up safely with the group, they may paddle on their own board with your approval.
We want every family to feel safe and supported, so if you’re unsure about what’s best for your child, just ask, we’re here to help you choose the right setup.

A: Yes! With our “Bring My Own Vessel” option, you’re welcome to join any of our guided tours using your own paddleboard or kayak. Just select this option during booking to receive an automatic $20 discount.

A: As much as we love animals, pets are not permitted on our paddle tours. We understand that your dog is part of the family, but for the safety and comfort of all guests, we have a no-pet policy during guided experiences.

A: Yes, this is Florida, and alligators do live in our natural waterways, including the Winter Park Chain of Lakes. However, we want to reassure you that we have never seen an alligator on this waterway during our tours.
We paddle in well-traveled, residential areas where alligator activity is minimal. Our guides are highly experienced and trained to keep all guests safe and comfortable. We’ve guided thousands of peaceful paddle tours with zero alligator-related incidents.

A: Florida weather can be unpredictable! We do operate in light rain, which can make for a peaceful paddle. However, if there’s thunder, lightning, or unsafe weather conditions, your tour may be canceled for safety.
If Otter Paddle Orlando cancels a tour, you’ll have the option to:

A: All of our paddle tours are guided group experiences, led by a friendly, knowledgeable local guide. We keep groups small and personal for a relaxed, connected vibe on the water.
While solo guests are welcome to book, please note we require a minimum of two guests for a tour to operate. If you’re the only one booked, we’ll reach out to let you know. If no other guests join at least 24 hours in advance, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
